this is the one i use. it has 3 usb ports so you can plug in a USB Host drive, keyboard and mouse

Another one i see recommended here is this:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LTHBCNM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Update: The USB mod still does not work.
I have done:
A clean install of Hakchi CE 3.5.2 (Debug)
A clean install of cores
No unnecessary mods even downloaded at all.
The OTG adapter is the same one patton is using in the videos on his youtube channel:
OTG: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LTHBCNM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and the USB stick is a 64gb sandisk from the approved list online here:
USB: Sandisk64GBSDCZ33-064GYES - u/Negativitee
I have also tried another memory stick and another format (fat32) and it had no effect.
Everything is working besides the USB storage.
The best inatek OTG adapter is on it's way and will be swapped out to see if that is the culprit. That is my only idea at this point. Been thinking by this point it would be easier to install an internal sd card mod.
TUSITA Micro USB HUB Adaptor with... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LTHBCNM?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share I recommend this one mainly because in future updates of bleemsync we will most likely get WiFi adapter support, like they did with hakchi ce.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LTHBCNM?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_product_details
I bought this one from Tusita. It loaded my games perfectly fine and connected to WiFi with my adaptor perfectly fine. Doesn’t feel cheap either.
Here is the Amazon US listing for the one I bought: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LTHBCNM/
This appears to be the Amazon UK listing: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Adaptor-Charging-Adapter-Raspberry-Android/dp/B078M3Z84Z/
I would replace your OTG Y cable with an OTG multi-port adapter and put both the USB flash drive and wifi dongle on that. Definitely seems that the front USB ports are not providing enough power for either device.
Your only other option is to do the front port power mod. I did both ports, but still keep my usb drive and wifi adapter on a multi port OTG adapter just to be 100% sure they have enough power (I'm using a 2.4 amp single port USB AC adapter).
This is the OTG adapter I am using: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LTHBCNM/
I had one like you're mentioning. It didn't work for me and got so hot it started to melt.. The 1 star reviews on amazon also said the same thing so I am not alone. I don't recommend this one as it can be a real fire hazard. https://www.amazon.com/TUSITA-Adaptor-Charging-Adapter-Raspberry/dp/B00LTHBCNM
Not too sure if the fire tab supports otg and charging simultaneously. U can try and root it. I tried to do the same thing but on a galaxy tablet. but gave up on rooting and just soldered in two wires from the battery terminal to a male end usb. So that i can charge via the usb male, and connect the otg cable into the micro usb port for Carplay.
You need a USB otg dongle. This is the one people have been using https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LTHBCNM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_35NDDb88WH1ZR
Inateck or the octopus one, they are adding network support in future so want more then one USB port

Does something like this work?
Can i use an usb 3.0 otg hub? Or it has to be 2.0?
If you're looking for an OTG solution with multiple ports? Then you need something like THIS:
https://www.amazon.com/TUSITA-Adaptor-Charging-Adapter-Raspberry/dp/B00LTHBCNM
^ ^ Some reviews claim it works Great with PS Classic. So there ya go.
If you're looking for a more flexible adapter, I've been using this for months. However, haven't tried it on a snesmini, just a fire tablet with wireless snes controllers. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LTHBCNM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Here's the one I use. I got this so I could use other accessories like a keyboard and mouse, and the hopes that there's will be 3 and 4 player support in the future. If you're not interested in all that then the one posted already works well.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LTHBCNM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Alright your instructions are great and were followed to a T. This was also my understanding and that's why I am at my wits end with this because I did everything just as you stated and have double and triple checked things. I also installed a boot splash in the root folder and installed the boot splash mod to test it out and it has never seen that either.

The OTG adapter again is the same one patton is using in the videos on his youtube channel:OTG: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LTHBCNM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The NES boots with the OTG cable connected and you see the USB drive flash so it is getting power. I've tried all three ports on the OTG and same result. The folder structure matches my last flash and is not seeing what is on the USB drive.
It should be pretty simple to ensure the information is pulling from the drive. Why is this so difficult for hakchi?
It should be as simple as a dropdown or checkbox. :USB ACTIONS-Format USB-Store games on USB-Store cores on USB
etc... This needs to be added to the program*
How does one ensure they are wiping their system and filling up the USB drive?
It really seems like this program wasn't designed for this and further development is needed to add it to some menu somewhere. There is nothing I can check or verify in the gui to make sure things are in place for this to work. I noticed some older tutorials tell people to hold shift while syncing and the words change on the sync button to "sync to USB" and this does not happen with my system. The words don't change and although the program has no problem seeing and exporting to my drive it does not link up whatever is needed to actually work.
Is there something to look for in the hakchi2 folder where the file structure is stored for the program? Can I add a file to a folder manually? Or is there a workaround for this?

The SNES Classic is very picky on what OTG cables will work with it. I personally would not trust something for 35 cents. I got this one and it hasn't failed me yet.

Sorry if I'm posting all over. It seems like there are (at least) three subreddits that are touching upon this subject, I'm glad I found the primary one.
I thought that device would be really sleek with the NESC...I've always got to be different!
I ordered this hub and this usb stick so hopefully all will go smoothly.
