We've had the three-compartment Ziploc and Easy Lunchboxes containers last for years. The Ziploc ones are more flexible and seal tighter, and the EL ones are more rigid and easier to open. The Ziploc ones are probably cheaper in a local grocery store than on Amazon.
I also bought takeout containers from Amazon
These ones were ordered March 2018, and most are still intact, though some have been given away: https://amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B076YT3GHG
The others were 38 oz white rectangular containers. I bought them in 2014 and we're down to maybe six from 50? Definitely gave some away, and used some for non-food storage. They're about the same size as the compartment boxes, and the clear boxes are about half their size. I need to find a new set soon, but the original Amazon listing is dead.
The takeout containers were more reasonably priced when I bought them, but they're easy to store (one stack of boxes, one of lids, pretty compact), and do fine in the dishwasher. Freezing tends to end in cracks.
ETA that the 38oz ones are like https://amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01LQKPBH4/ and I'm going to order another set. Also, our newest Ziploc containers are from 2017, and the EL containers are 2014. Amazon order history is basically a journal of my life in purchases.
