Amazon can severely limits your bang for your buck on food. You will likely get half as much for your money if you aren't very careful.

This food bucket costs $64 on amazon but only $25 on Walmart. Walmart will deliver. If you have a gift card, you might get creative and order something for someone in exchange for cash. Add water and heat

Amazon is cheaper on the 30day 1 person bucket but you still pay $175 when four of the other buckets are $100 for 1 person 30day. Note that both are only around 1200 calories/day so I would say 7 of the small buckets ($175 Walmart) or 2 of the big ones ($350 Amazon).the small bucket is effectively 4.8 days of food and the big one 18 days

However, The auguson farms 2 week 1 person kit is $84 at Amazon for 1825 calories per day, though, so that would be $179 for one person for 1 month, about the same as the $25 Walmart buckets. Same bucket is $72 shipped from walmart.

LDS store has some of the cheapest long term storage but you have to order from them directly.

Need to rotate:

Generic 12oz shells and cheese with sauce packet (no need for milk or butter) is around $1.25 at Aldi or dollar tree for about 1200 calories. Costs twice that on Amazon. Whole wheat spaghetti (stock intermittent) and a jar of sauce is under $3 at Aldi.

Canned chili about $1.25 at Aldi or dollar store. Actually not much more at Amazon suppringly at $11.25/8 cans. https://smile.amazon.com/Hormel-Chili-Beans-15-Pack/dp/B07Y93XVZL/

Auguson farms stew vegetable blend #10 can. Actually cheaper on amazon

Some common items to consider:

Dried Pinto Beans - Costco/walmart Wheat berries (need grinder to make flour/bread/pasta but can be eaten as hot cereal). Parboiled rice Canned greens, veggies, etc. (Aldi, Walmart, under $1 per can, very few calories, adds some nutrition but not as much as you might think) Canned tuna, chicken, ham, soam Vitamins

Yakisoba noodle bowl $0.89 for 500calories. Walmart. Just add boiling water (or microwave). Includes some dehydrated veggies. Save bowl for heating ramen.

Life boat rations.

Mylar bags and oxygen absorbers in Amazon may be low quality. Food grade 5 gal buckets are $8.48 at Lowe's in-store and $6.48 if you order but they are $10.33 each in multiples of 6 on amazon.

Non food items: Water purifier that removes microbes and chemicals Bug out bag or survival,)first aid kit
