This one has been great but I'm giving mine to my spouse and buying the above one after she "tested" hers with a drop that saved the phone but busted the front cover up pretty good. Hopefully they both continue to get the job done.

Neither of these have pen storage because we don't have/use a pen anymore. They both do provide hinge protection which I did feel was important. Although the hinge cover makes the phone not sit flat when open, it provides a "grip" on the back when holding it in your hand that we've become quite used to having. When I took the case off of my phone I found it very uncomfortable to try to hold it without the case and that "grip" being there. *
