I have two vests:
Steele CoolStyle - I do not like this one, I could never get the straps adjusted for it to fit properly and so the cooling packs weren't close enough to my body.
Polar "Fashion" cooling vest - This vest fits me much better and I wear it regularly when working around the house. I put "fashion" in quotes because I do not find it fashionable at all. It is quite effective in cooling me down and enables me to work longer. If you do get this vest, do not buy replacement ice packs from Polar, they are crazy expensive. Instead, get these ones from Amazon. They fit perfectly, cost way less, and get colder than the ones from Polar. They will wear out and need to be replaced - I go through about 1 case every two years.
I acquired both vests free of charge through the MSAA and MS Foundation cooling vest programs.
All that said, what I really want is a ThermApparel undercool. It's pricey but seems like I might be more willing to wear it out in public.
