The zippo insert sucks. I much prefer the dual torch one by Z-plus because it’s clear plastic and you can see exactly what’s in it and can verify it’s full to the top. The zippo one doesn’t even fit in my actual zippo case so I had to switch it to a third party case. But all the zippo style ones have small fuel tanks, so refilling is something I have to do every day or two. It is annoying. I keep cans of butane upstairs and downstairs so one is always in reach, but it will almost certainly run out at the most inconvenient time, and sometimes I just carry a back-up lighter with me.

This particular model is my favorite after buying a few similar ones. The tank is much bigger than a zippo insert’s, and the entire bottom rotates to adjust the flame, so you don’t need to find a tool to adjust it like some models. And the top automatically opens when you push the button - I have another one similar that doesn’t open automatically and it makes me crazy. Size-wise it’s a good compromise between a zippo and a larger torch.

Some people love using the large torches used for dab rigs, but to me that negates the elegance of the whole system. I don’t want to carry a giant torch around.

I just ordered the Orion though, so I look forward to refilling butane lighters a lot less.

For single flame (more complicated and indoor use only, but better results) Ive been using the Honest single flame for easily 2 years... I'm sure there are better but I love my reliable Honest
