Another option you have that I didn't see mentioned is to pick up a pair of Moca adapters like these:
Actiontec MoCA 2.5 Network Adapter for Ethernet Over Coax (2 Pack) – 1 Gbps Ethernet, Coax to Ethernet Adapter, Enhanced Streaming and Gaming (Model: ECB6250K02) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088KV2YYL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_D4VN1DEVAJWPAE1XTYFY
I picked up a pair of those and it gave me wired speeds in the right half of my house. (I have a long single story house. Mancave is on one end of the house and has all of the networking equipment while the bedrooms are on the opposite end of the house. The distance and walls would kill all wireless speeds. I hooked up one adapter to my router and another one to a switch in one of the bedrooms. All wired devices get the full gig speed. I hooked up a dumb access point to the switch as well which gives me around 450mbps over wireless all over my house. Each access point covers half the house)
I looked into getting Ethernet ran into the various rooms but was quoted $1000 plus (have a really low attic with a lot of angles. Makes it harder to wallfish which is why I never did it myself) and I didn't really have a "network closet" to run all my cables into. I didn't want to put a full or half rack out in the open in the Mancave so I went the Moca route. Moca is great if you already coax cable running throughout the house. With the Moca adapter you can buy a decent wireless router and use it as a dumb access point..that will eliminate the problem of possibly killing your network with a wireless extender
Adapter, yes. But I'm not sure if it would meet your needs.
You can put one of these adapters on each end. The adapters each also need to be plugged into the wall.

I would recommend doing your own research, but the internet tells me this is the one to get these days. YMMV, please make good decisions.
