I have a 3 drawer thing, I stuck a particle board shelf on top for stability and it makes a great end table with lots of storage. It holds my heating pad, splints, medications, notepad and paper, snacks, etc. I have baskets that hang on the wall, holds my phone, tablet, gaming controllers, chargers. Wall hanging power strip makes it easy to reach. Currently, my bed is 6 feet from the kitchen but I used to use a mini fridge and a spare microwave in my room.
