I'm doing a lot better since this post. Voice therapy and acid-reflux treatment was helpful to an extent, now I am coming to terms with the fact that for me this is primarily a psychological/anxiety-related condition.
I'm doing some self-guided CBT while also working with a psychoanalyst, who I find to be much more intelligent and emotionally-literate than any CBT therapist I've met, and I am noticing reductions in tension as I become more less chronically anxious. Jim Folk's website (https://www.anxietycentre.com/anxiety-disorders/symptoms/#anxiety-symptoms-list), along with John Sarno's writings (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FOTRPJQ/ref=dp-kindle-redirect?_encoding=UTF8&btkr=1) have also been helpful to me, in terms of breaking the cycle of the symptoms themselves causing anxiety and leading to a feedback loop of stress.
Sorry that you're also going through this, the discomfort and loneliness is really not something most people can understand without having been through it themselves. Don't forget to give yourself some grace and compassion.
