After some more research I'd probably get one of the magsafe stickers that has the extra tab at the bottom to keep accessories straight. Would probably be useful if I ever wanted a magsafe car mount.

I briefly tried the pen with the kickstand attached and it did work. Once I put this setup on and decided I was keeping it, I returned the Samsung S Pen kickstand case. The case really isn't great and I used the pen like twice since I've had the phone so it wasn't worth the $80 investment. I'd never take the pen out of my bag to use it and rarely used it when it was attached to the phone.
