I have the 2021 CX9 CE also. I purchased the navigation card from Amazon (for less than $50 at the time) and it works flawlessly.
I almost always use Android Auto for my navigation but have had a couple moments when I was out of service. So I got the navigation card as backup. I also have the Sirius subscription service called Travelink for 1.99 per month and that includes a weather map, weather info, gas stations nearby with prices, and a couple other things. It's not necessary but I like gadgets and felt like getting it. In order to have Travelink, you need yhe Nav card. Below is the link to the navigation card I bought on Amazon. (Assuming you live in US?)
