In addition to ones already listed (Critter clinic, bubbles, wind up toys), these are some of my favorites:
Cupcake Shapes I use this all the time! Work on following directions, requesting for help (the frosting is difficult to get off), feeding to different animals, pretending to cook, requesting for cupcake/shape/color
Crocodile Dentist. My kids love feeding him, telling other animals to "watch out!", etc.
Octopus Toy Great for working on prepositions (especially in, on, under), requesting for balls/color of ball, answering "where" questions (i.e., where is the ball?), and my kids LOVE it
A train track like this Melissa and Doug one. Great for requesting for trains, tracks (curved track or straight track, more track), asking for help, engaging in pretend play. So much great language (under/over the bridge, big/small train, up/down, crash, fall, adding animals/trees to the set-up, etc.).
Play Food working on requests, action words (cut, feed), following directions (give the banana to momma), pretend play.
Balloons (e.g., blow/throw balloon, bigger/smaller, requesting for balloon, colors, etc.); play doh; Easter eggs with objects hidden inside; play barn (requesting and labeling animals, action words (eat, open, go, jump, sleep, etc.); baby doll; sensory bean bin filled with small objects
I'll probably add more if I think of them! But those are my most used ones right now.
Curious how you use the magnetic wand and chips? Seems great but I can't figure out what I would use it for!
Edit: For my lower and/or sensory-seeking kids, these are a few of my favorites: pop tubes, pin wheels, pin toy
oh my GOSH, and these gears. So great for requests.
