glinet work well, pick which ever one suites you
personally I use this one https://www.amazon.com/GL-iNet-GL-AR750S-Ext-pre-Installed-Cloudflare-Included/dp/B07GBXMBQF/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=gl+inet&qid=1576288664&sr=8-2
Got an update. We got the GLinet travel router. Link below. It takes the open hotel network and allows me to create my own 5ghz and 2.4 ghz network. It also comes with ethernet in and out.
We got the SNOO (only supports 2.5ghz), Nanit, 2 laptops, 2 phones and a tablet. Working great.
I use this and it works great. USB straight to the router.
Thank you so much for your patience. Or you can choose our old model (Slate) if you are in urgent use. It is good for travel as well. https://www.amazon.com/GL-iNet-GL-AR750S-Ext-pre-Installed-Cloudflare-Included/dp/B07GBXMBQF/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=giant+slate&qid=1617950626&sr=8-4
Also, Xmas deal until end of December 2018: Enjoy 10% off for a Slate router with an Amazon coupon on Amazon US: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GBXMBQF
I'm running GL.iNet GL-AR750S-Ext (Slate) with the m2000 tethered. No issues. I opened the box today and plugged it in.
I didn't know you can use the Inseego 5G with Calyx. Maybe one day I'll try it. But anyway back to your problem.
I've had a similar problem with my Inseego 8000. I had that hotspot tethered to this little router. I wanted it to give power to the hotspot and have the hotspot provide an IP address and data. I didn't want the hotspot to act as a wifi hub. Well that little router wasn't providing enough power to my hotspot. So the hotspot would just die of a low battery every once in a while. This was my solution. I had a USB A to A cord connected from that Y-splitter to my little router, something like this, and that provided data. I then used the USB C part to power the hotspot. Haven't had a problem concerning power since.
