Buy a watt meter, it's fun to see exact numbers:
Get a cheap power meter and get a real number. Something like this off Amazon:

I’ve never used that one, but I have a similar no name one that works fine.
It’s all hypotheticals based off software, brightness, etc. A power meter is a real number.
Kill-a-watt power meter: https://www.amazon.com/Electricity-Electrical-Consumption-Backlight-Protection/dp/B09BQNYMMM
I’m not sure it’s truly 500watt, but it’s hot AF to the backside of my hand at 6 or so inches. And hotter than the 250w ptc heater I built, so it could be.
I bought a second one to use as a hand warmer at my keyboard. It’s difficult to find the Goldilocks zone. It pushes air plenty good, but not good enough for an even spread of heat in an open space. So it takes a bit of adjusting to find the right distance so my other hand can at least get some heat without the other being to close to the heater. In an enclosure, it gets the ambient temp up fast.
Been meaning to get a few of these to see just how much the heater and all that I run is consuming for printing. It might just finally curb my printing just for the hell of it.
