The "paperlike" handfeel is kind of subjective. You can modify it to a degree with different stylus nibs, but the most paperlike feel that I've felt (as opposed to just read about) is my OG Boox Note. I wouldn't recommend that because of the absence of a frontlight (and it's out of production now).

FWIW, you can use a "booklight" (like this) to read in the dark. That's what I used before I got my Note 2 and Nova Pro.

The Boox will let you read Amazon locked (AZW) files by using the Android Kindle app or by using Calibre to convert them to EPUB. Some versions of the Amazon DRM are trickier to remove than others. The Supernote can only use the Calibre option
