Never had an issue, but then I'm a Fender snob so I pretty much know exactly what I'm going to get. Also, if a dud did happen (honestly I've never played a bad American or Mexican Fender) the Amazon return policy is bullet proof. I recently bought one of the Fender built Gretsch Electromatic "Jet Club" in silver/mahogany and I was really surprised that a guitar at that price point would have the finish and feel of a guitar that costs 5 times as much. This one was built in China and is an example of just how far Fender has stepped up their offshore quality game. People always think that I'm joking when they're holding/playing it and I tell them what it cost.

Most of my collection is American and Mexican Strats and Jags. I have a Jazzmaster and a Jag SS bass as well. Some custom stuff and some Partscasters also grace my collection, like a Warmoth body Tele in translucent black with a Mexican neck and gold hardware. It's an illness, really.
