it could be worse man. this happened https://i.redd.it/i6jkpo3hvdf81.jpg ,and made the last track unplayable :(
Nowadays if the album is stored in the plain white scratchy paper sleeves. i just rip em apart instead of a chance removal, and stick em into anti static sleeves. (note: even when doing this there are sometimes scratches, paper flakes, etc from the factory. due to the vinyl going into the sleeve or just lack of QC)
I do my best when it comes to the pesky super overly tight picture/lyric inners. A lil light squeeze while wiggiling em out does the trick. Afterwards i use these on the inside of picture/lyric inners. fits like a glove.
Square inner sleeves? Round can be easier to place in jackets. Or store your records in inner sleeves next to the jacket with both inside an outer sleeve.
The official copy comes with the sleeves you mention (round on the bottom, squared off at the top). If your copy came without the sleeves, especially if its used and the previous owner possibly misplaced them, it doesn't necessarily mean its a bootleg but i would be a bit concerned about the records scratching against the interior cardboard without something to protect them. I would say either return it you're uncomfortable with the purchase or buy some plastic sleeves like these.
