Simplisafe is good but...its one of the most vulnerable systems on the market to jamming, if I were you I'd would use Simplisafe but not display their signage and stickers for a potential intruder to be able to google it and potentially disable your system

(Purchase ADT or any other alarm company sign)

(How likely is this gonna happen probably really low chances but extra precaution is always best)

And get their Video Verified Alarm with the Simplicam, The police responds faster to an active break-in because the monitoring center sees the burglar therefore giving you priority dispatch

Reinforcement - Install Door Hardening kits, Change your door frame screws to longer ones, Install motion light around the property, and Add some Eufy Cam's Outside the property

Eufy Cam 2 is Wireless and its battery last for 365 days, but I would expect maybe 11 months if you have more motion triggers and it records locally this would be a great deterrent and backup in case you ever need to submit footage to the police

Eufy Cam 2 - 2 Cam Kit

Door Reinforcement Plate

Defender Door reinforcement lock

A motion sensor alone isn't gonna cut it, you need the Door/Window Sensor, Keypad, Base

When I said prime line U I meant the one seen here(I also linked to it in my original post), the kind that goes around the locks...so you are saying a steel door doesn't really have any more strength than a regular fiberglass door. Or should I just use a security plate like this

No its not a steel frame, but I do plan on reframing it so its got solid wood, 5 inches deep, all around the jamb, and then using 4" screws everywhere I can.

I know without spending serious money I'm not going to have a totally "kick proof" door, but yes, I want a door that will be harder to break into, especially with a pry bar or without drawing serious attention to oneself.

Whats the best way, for the money, to achieve that?

And is there an upgrade to your basic deadbolt that doesn't cost a ton that installs the same way? Or can you recommend a good one?

Oh, I'm sorry, didn't realize all "prime-line" products were prime-line U + model number...but I did link to it in my original post.

one seen here

Or should I just go with a security plate, like this

Basically I am asking if using a steel door, should I forgo reinforcing the door at all and just focus on the jamb? with something like this, and would that be good enough or should I spring for the Door Armor MAX kit
