This is the kind we have, its a different model though.
Seems to draw 140-150 watts on the max setting. I keep it on a 1-2 out of 10 and the bed is nice and warm.
It might draw more power than a blanket, but it seems more efficient to me. A heated blanket ends up bunched up by my feet and the blankets are nice and warm. The mattress pad keeps the whole bed nice and warm, and the low setting keeps me warm under the covers while an electric blanket is hot.
Ain't nothing wrong with a heated blanket either. If your in a freezing place, it might be better to have a toasty blanket. The pad never gets super hot like a blanket does
