I found this ointment https://www.amazon.com/Cruz-Medication-Allergy-Tested-Preservatives-Fragrances/dp/B00H5UP96I?ref_=d6k_applink_bb_marketplace which has 10% sulfur and just one more ingredient. I'm thinking on buying it to mix it with my moisturizer so the sulphur will be more time on my skin which I think it would be better. I'm not sure yet.

Azelaic acid has been good for me. So has sulphur. I use a sulphur mask 1-2x a week and use a sulphur face wash 5x a week. It's made a big difference. Get a good moisturizer too because these things can be drying.

Are you aware of any triggers? Mine are alcohol (wine and hard liquor only, beer is not a problem) as well as sun/sweat. I do a little extra mask/face wash on the days when I know I'll be exposed to those things.

These are the products I like: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00H5UP96I/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I am glad you are doing better these days :)

I live in a very hot and extremely humid area and allergies are absolutely horrendous here too! I have never had seasonal allergies of any type in my entire life (i am 37)…never had so much as a sniffle from allergies before….but these past couple Of months have been insane. You can see in my recent comments on my profile….I’ve had a number of crazy face rashes all due to allergies. To where my eyes are swollen nearly shut just from my bottom eyelids and my entire face instantaneously gets raw and itchy. But it goes away within 3-4 days as long as I just layer on the right cream and moisturizers. I know we are in different countries but I’ve heard from numerous people all over the place that it’s happening everywhere.

I truly think that a urea moisturizer will help either way though. It’s not heavy exfoliation at all, nothing like AHAs and BHAs. You can apply it 2x a day (of course patch test first, start at once a day or every other day to make sure your skin/your sister’s skin tolerates it as well then go from there). It immediately gives relief to super dry areas though and resolves them quickly. Plus like I said, its somewhat of an anti microbial.

If you can’t get to a dr and urea doesn’t work out for whatever reason look in to/research sulphur ointments. This one is 10% so it is pretty strong but it is very creamy and you only leave it on for 5-10 mins and it really doesn’t smell bad. I recommend sulphur because it also has light keratolytic/exfoliating properties and is a stronger antimicrobial (both bacterial and fungal) than urea. It can be a bit more drying if you use it every day. You can find cleansers and soaps with lower concentrations of it that are formulated to also hydrate (like the brand Kate Somerville EradiKate Daily Foaming Cleanser, thats an excellent sulfur cleanser at 3%, but it is pricey and I’m not sure if it is available where you are).

And again benzoyl peroxide because while it is effective against fungal stuff, I think it’s even more effective against bacterial (though mainly geared toward acne and folliculitis).

If using sulfur or benzoyl peroxide, def make sure to use a good moisturizer. And of course do a little bit of research first :)
