Got the WD SN850 1 TB with the built in heatsink from Amazon, and have to say this was the most painless install and upgrade I’ve ever had to do on a piece of electronic/computing.
Whole process from installing on the M2 drive bay, to formatting and being ready to use took less than 5 minutes.
As of this writing it’s going for $169.99 on [Amazon](WD_BLACK 1TB SN850 NVMe Internal Gaming SSD Solid State Drive with Heatsink - Works with Playstation 5, Gen4 PCIe, M.2 2280, Up to 7,000 MB/s - WDS100T1XHE https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08PHSVW7K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_YBDN2ZA7D9R8RCRA64N8?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1) , and after formatting the PS5 is reporting back 6552.794 MB/S Read Speed.
Moved the largest games to it, and can’t even tell the difference between loading games from the built in SSD and the WD. Really recommend it, and if you want to save ~$20 get the non-heatsink version and buy one of the third party ones recommended on this thread.
