Hey! I finally did the upgrade after I experienced some sudden extrusion issues that I stupidly tried to fix via slicer settings, which made no sense because it was previously printing well. The PTFE tube was char-broiled, as expected and I replaced it with an all-metal heatbreak, but not the one I previously mentioned. The one I had ordered about a year ago is NOT for the CR10 V3, but this one is: https://amazon.com/gp/product/B0991QJ3L6
I can report that it works very well, though some Amazon reviews mention receiving a bent or defective heatbreak so check it out before you install it. If it is bent, comes apart, etc. request a refund and get a new one.
One thing to note for this extruder is that there still will be a length of PTFE tubing required, but it goes through the heatsink to the top of the new heatbreak, but it does not touch the nozzle like the stock heatbreak. This means you can print very hot temperatures (above 230C) without issue because there is no PTFE tubing that will be getting anywhere near that hot.
Good luck!
