I have had 2 power A controlers and both times the right trigger broke on me in less than a year. If you are willing to spend a little extra Razer wolverine ultimate has been going strong for me for 2 years and is now my favorite controller all time. It is more expensive but you get what you pay for.
I use the Razer Wolverine Ultimate Xbox controller and its been lasting longer than most of my controllers (typically have a lifespan of 6mo-1yr).
I've only had it for about 6 months now but has held up better than any other controller I've used in that time period. It's a bit more pricey but I feel its worth the investment.
A big perk that it has is the cable that plugs into it locks in and isn't so free to fuck up the cable or the input on the controller.
