I do have a multimeter but don't really know what I'm doing with it. How should I test for a faulty solenoid?

I re-used the original clear insulation when replacing the thermofuse. These are components I used, not OEM but the specs seem to match—

(I used the 22-18 AWG butt connector)

I've checked and rechecked the rest of the wiring and they all seem good.
