Thank you so much for hosting this again, Bryce! Matt and I are excited to be a part of it again this year.
We didn't have it published in time to officially include it in the sale, but we have a novella on offer for 99c/p as well! The Haunting of Bardane Manor is a fantasy ghost mystery featuring a cleric-type character in the investigator role.
Today is also release day for Lady Vago's Absolution, the sequel to Lady Vago's Malediction. Our gothic fantasy/horror duology is finally complete! If people like tragic romance, doomed knights, cool and scary magic, and meditations on the inherent injustice of afterlife theology, we really love how this story turned out. We couldn't put Absolution on sale this time around, but still plan to donate 50% of the proceeds for all three books to St. Jude's.
Books I've read and loved that are for sale this year:
The Wrack by John Bierce - This is a fascinating and unique plague-themed novel with some of the richest theological worldbuilding I've ever seen. I would argue it is THE fantasy plague novel.
Kept From Cages by Phil Williams - This is high-octane popcorn fantasy at its finest. The characters are fun, the action was constant, and without spoiling it, that tree was really freaky. I have the rest of Phil's Ordshaw books waiting on my Kindle, and I just know it'll be a blast.
The Path of Darkness by C.M. Lackner - This read is still in-progress, but boy do I love a corruption arc giving vibes like, "God hates you, and for good reason!"
Books I would have read by now if not for the tyranny of time:
Windward by S. Kaeth
The Goddess of Nothing at All by Cat Rector
The Thirteenth Hour by Trudie Skies
Murder at Spindle Manor by Morgan Stang
Knaves on Waves by Jim Parfitt
And I'm sure I'll add several more titles to my TBR the more I keep exploring the sale!
