Thank you! We love AKL, Boma is an amazing place to eat! You will enjoy your trip I'm sure!
Yes, she did like the portable monitor, this is the one I got for her. I chose that one because it's one of the larger portable monitors (17.3"), however if you don't need one that big, most are around 15.6" and cost a little less.
It's fairly lightweight so easy to pack for travel. It does come with a case that doubles as sort of a "stand" for it (think of those iPad cases that fold out to prop up the iPad), but I didn't like how flimsy it felt. I ended up also getting one of these little stands for less than $10 after the coupon. It's really meant for smaller tablets, but it did work in a pinch for this monitor. The stand also folds flat so it's easy to stuff in a backpack. You may want to look for a sturdier stand though potentially, we were just looking for a good combination of portability and convenience.
There are a lot of options though for portable monitors for around the same price range on Amazon, so you don't necessarily need to get the one I posted above, but they do definitely make working remotely while on vacation a better experience :)
