I had a mondo plastic turntable which was great until I started doing larger cakes and bought a metal one when I was making a friends wedding cake the cake was multiple layers and very heavy.

I still use the plastic one mostly because it has a brake - I find it hard to pipe flowers etec when the cake keeps shifting as I apply pressure and I like to have it locked in place.

Depends where you are but I found one on U.S. AMazon that look identical to the mondo one (probably just a different name).
