thanks for responding!

so as of right now, they are in these plastic containers.

however, it is a bit messy, and I feel like I want to do something different.. but I am not sure. we have a lot of gray pieces so almost 3 boxes are all gray. they are not organized either, which is driving me crazy.

I been thinking about using the tool organizer route... but not sure. it is just mind blowing and my mind cannot comprehend this situation because every time I try to think of a way to organize.. my husband brings more legos in the house for our little one. legos are on all tables... and rooms. it is a freaking mess.

**edit: since we have a little one, legos tend to break and then those pieces end up in a throw all container until I have time to organize them. we have 2 throw all containers. so I am very okay with changing the layout. believe me. I want something that will work. not sure the plastic containers will suffice in the long run for me.... with a lego every week...
