I got 200w (two 100w 12v panels) into my Bluetti EB55 (also with 8 amp limit) but had to 'jump through hoops' to do it. Did it as more of a technical challenge then actually needing the full 200w.

Connected one of these 'boost' power supplies to my 'adapter' port. This power supply is not an MPPT. It's actually a Pulse Width Modulator (PWM) power supply with a 'battery low voltage' adjustment on it. It is this adjustment that is unique and useful for connecting to a solar panel. With a solar panel connected, one sets the battery low voltage roughly to the panel's Vmp voltage. Fine tuning required.

Because it is PWM, it doesn't do as well as a MPPT port when overcast or panel is shadowed. For example. When the panel is producing say 50w with MPPT when overcast, the PWM may only produce 45w or so. In full direct sunlight, and proper fine tuning, the PWM will produce the same power as MPPT.

As brimu was saying, it's hard to say this is worth it to get the very last watt out of one's solar panels.
