So funny story. Came home one day and there was a snake hanging down from the inside of my garage door while it was in the open position. So I have the brilliant idea to get my sword out and take care of it samurai style. I missed badly and hit the garage beam, damaged the sword, and the snake fell down and took off laughing.

Sword info here

Sharpener info here

I am new to sharpening and only have this cheap system currently (ruixon pro). Any advice for repairing this damage and having it still look cool? That is after all the only reason I have it.

Should I just go at it with what I have or are there any other tools to get the job done better, keeping in mind I have limited skills and budget.

Thank for any advice.

So besides the sharpening system linked HERE which has stones starting at 80 grit, the only other tools I have that I could think might be relevant to this task are an angle grinder, orbital sander, and belt sander. I have a feeling those are not the best tools for the job. I've been thinking of getting an inexpensive bench grinder though.

I'd be ok with just making it look better and not perfect.

I picket up one of these on Prime Day: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B089GLHRNV

It's a little fidgety to set it up, but once you get it, it quickly gets you to razor sharpness.

I want the Work Sharp Ken Onion, or a Tormek, but price is a limitation right now.
