I have two lights roughly ~7 inches above my Drosera Broomensis. I bought a second light when I added two more petiolaris sundews to the pot. Petiolaris are a species of drosera that need a ton of light, heat, and humidity, so I have them on timers to get blasted for 14 hours. I’ve had my Broomensis for a year now and it’s done pretty well in that light. To be totally transparent, it could do better, but it’s a really tough plant to care for.
Additionally I had one over a Sarracenia Purpurea for ~8 hours at about a 12” away, and it caused it to blush pretty deep purple, so it seemed adequate for that. The only issue is that it’s a very small source, so it blushed unevenly. The only reason I mention it is because turning purple is usually a sign that the light is strong (not a bad thing, usually a good thing)
I think I bought those lights after researching this article

If you need a stronger light source, closer is better. But you could double up too.
This is the lamp I got: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08F2GKLZR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_QZRwf8xNH78hg
Personally, I would be wary of the accuracy of anything on Amazon. The only reason I bought the Sansi light is because of the review on that article. I can’t verify it’s accuracy, but it seems to work.
Lastly, my Capensis are thriving in bright ambient. I know what the internet says, but I’m really not sure they need a ton of light. Just bright ambient and a ton of food.
