Another important point is that the Stratux must be pointing straight ahead. The kalman filter in the Stratux fuses the accelerometer, gyro, and GPS data to get the pitch, roll, and yaw answers. If the Stratux is not pointing straight ahead, the kalman filter will get confused.
One more thing, I don't know how well this would work in a car because the assumption of the kalman filter is probably that you are making somewhat coordinated turns. I might play with that the next chance I get.
I want to make a portable chartplotter with the raspberry pi 4 model b. I will be using this gps dongle and I was wondering where to place the gps dongle in order to achieve good range. I will be making it in a laptop like form factor. I am also wondering what to do concerning display. My model has 2 usb c ports for displays, but the display I will be using has hdmi ports. I am wondering if there is a better way to connect with the display that is not using adapters, as I want as little points of fail as possible. edit: I mean micro hdmi outputs, not usb c.
