Okay, so, yes, the problem was that you got desktop computer memory, and the little Minisforum machine needs laptop memory, or SODIMM (or "SO-DIMM"). Desktop computer RAM is huge in comparison to the kind you needed. If you're sticking with the Corsair website/store, you wanted to order two (2) of these RAM sticks: https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Memory/Laptop-and-Notebook-Memory/VENGEANCE-DDR5-SODIMM-1x16/p/CMSX16GX5M1A4800C40

Corsair's store isn't showing any "kits" of laptop DDR5 RAM, only single sticks.

If you didn't mind going with Amazon's store, this is a pretty good deal on decent quality RAM. https://www.amazon.com/Silicon-Power-PC5-38400-Computer-SP032GBSVU480F22/dp/B0BP2DN18Y/ref=sr_1_7?keywords=SODIMM%2B32gb&qid=1673381202&refinements=p_n_feature_four_browse-bin%3A23698147011%2Cp_n_feature_browse-bin%3A23964008011&rnid=23963802011&s=pc&sr=1-7&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.f5122f16-c3e8-4386-bf32-63e904010ad0&th=1

Incidentally, for laptop/SODIMM DDR5 RAM, the best prices right now are for 4800MHz. Higher frequencies are difficult to find anywhere, much less at affordable prices, for laptop DDR5 RAM. Even Corsair's DDR5 laptop RAM is 4800MHz.

Further, to use a higher clock speed, you'd have to manually fiddle with the BIOS to get voltage etc., set right because it doesn't support Intel XMP profiles. And please, for all that's holy, do not, once you get into the BIOS, do NOT increase CPU power draw from the default setting of 45W. If you do that, your girlfriend will have a "hot mess" of a slower computer. The little machine just isn't currently designed for the "surprise" (hotspot) AMD thermals at higher power consumption levels.
