I am archiving this original post, and replacing it with a new one I drafted.

Original archived post.

I've been building my own projector setup for about 2 months now, and I'm getting to the point of testing it, and enjoying it. But, now I'm getting to parts where I can't really find information on the internet about the intricacies of the build. So, I'm hopping if anyone has a setup at their home, and is happy about it, if you could lend me a hand too!

My setup

The build I chose to go with, at first, was something closer to the pepper's ghost effect, http://cdn.instructables.com/FPM/3ZDB/HLZGVC2T/FPM3ZDBHLZGVC2T.SMALL.jpg , but, in the end my build ended up being a rear projection, more like in the concerts. The build itself is two different parts, the projection tower I use to keep the projector up high, and the projection netting. both of which sit about 7 feet in the air, but with the way I built it, it's capable of reaching 10 feet if I wanted to go to home depot and get longer boards. A couple pictures of my setup as of last night, http://imgur.com/a/jp4xp

I know I'm just starting to test it out, but I haven't been exactly satisfied with how it looks yet, and I know I'm doing something wrong, so here are my questions.

1 At what angle should my netting be at? From the peppers ghost diagrams it was saying 45* and I remember a youtube saying it should be in the shape of a soccer net, but for a rear projection setting, should I really be at an angle, or should it be just a straight net?

2 I know I chose a cheap projector because I'm on a budget, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016M3IZLE , is part of my problem my projector? I know it's not a short throw projector, I didn't think having it farther away from the screen would be too much of an issue.

3 Should my projector be keystoned? It's kinda hard to tell.

4 In some of the newer videos, the miku concerts are using 2 projectors at once, is that something I should look into to getting a cleaner 3d effect? Or, is it always going to look 2dish?
