How's that vise whip working out, BTW?

Here's another tool I can't live without:

My work apron has upper pockets and the straight probe is always there along with a pair of long fine needle nose pliers and a smaller philips head screwdriver. The rest of the probe shapes I keep in my toolbench and they are sometimes useful.

I use this as an awl for clearing housing after cutting it, or helping to guide a cable out of a shifter if it's getting hung up, or scouring crud, or manipulating pawls, or expanding the diameter of plastic housing end caps if the fit is too tight and creating friction, etc. It has countless uses. These are made of strong stuff, as I've yet to break the point off after several years of repair work. I bought a backup set in case mine breaks but that's not happened yet.
