I am in the same boat you are. When I found out that the ESP32 exists it kind of made all the other Arduino boards I bought obsolete. This ESP32 is quite unique in that we get Bluetooth and Wifi which is a significant step forward. Plus the ESP32 has a lot of other features available as well. I hear that the A/D converter on the ESP32 is not very good so I have opted to go with an external A/D converter - the ADS1115 16 bit I2C device from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08QD2C42R?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details). Amazon is another thing I just discovered and is far better than Ebay for most things although I still use Ebay when Amazon does not have what I am looking for. Also sign up for Amazon Prime - it is well worth it if you start using it quite often.
