Thanks for the honest reply! When you say an "inexpensive compact fluorescent based soft-box kit", are you referring to something like this: http://www.amazon.com/ePhoto-Digital-Photography-Lighting-H9004SB2/dp/B005HFAXIC/ref=cm_cr_pr_pdt_img_top?ie=UTF8 (my main gripe with those is there is not an ability to dim the lights). What would be the main difference between those and something more like this: http://www.amazon.com/LimoStudio-Studio-Continuous-Lighting-LMS682/dp/B009F37CM2/ref=zg_bs_3347881_4
Is it possible to exchange the bulbs in one of the lights with these dimmable, color changing bulbs (I really want the functionality to change color in one of the lights at least) or is it better to find gels for the softbox?
Also, what do you think of an external battery or power socket to plug these into when I am shooting outside of a studio where I need to supply power to the lights?
I really just want a decent 3 point continuous lighting solution.
THANKS
