I think the reason they don’t advertise it for hot liquids is because you can easily burn your mouth if you put hot liquids in it. And, if you put boiling water in it, pressure will build up in the bottle and it will rush out of the straw (a family member of mine ended up in the hospital for burns exactly like that). I don’t think any bottles with straws will be advertised for hot liquids.

I’ve put warm tea in my stainless steel contigo without issue.
