I was in the same spot you are. My living room fixture has no switch, only pull chains. I used to have zigbee bulbs just to control the lights but recently got the Hampton Bay MR101Z kit and it makes the fan and lights controllable via either remote or Zigbee. I've moved off ST to Hubitat, but it should work for both. unfortunately, you might have to try eBay as I don't think this one is sold anymore. You'll also need to replace the built in antenna (2 screws) as the range sucks.
