Got myself one for my birthday last year.
For anyone interested I can recommend this company.
$70 now but the one I got goes on sale for about $50 every now and then. I took a gamble buying a $50 vs. a $150 one not knowing what the difference was but I was more than happy with how it turned out. The stitching is solid, the material isn't scratchy and it's lasted almost a year so far without any issues/wear and tear.
You might get what you pay for if you spend $100 more on a "premium" weighted blanket, I don't know, but I was glad to find something quality for cheaper.
Well it sounds like one is using cheaper materials/manufacturing.
From the fabric, to the weight, to the stitching.
What does that mean exactly? Who knows?
Maybe the cheaper one feels scratchier on the skin. Maybe it won't last as long, be as durable, wash as well. Then again it might be exactly the same experience.
Best I can do is recommend the one I bought. $65 right now on Amazon for the 60x80 15lb version. It's weighty, comfortable, feels quality and I've been really enjoying it.
