It's fine for what I need it for: vertical shutter, programmable buttons, and can either use AA batteries or the standard rechargeable battery which you must purchase separately. The only small complaint I have is the buttons and jogs are slightly stiffer and cheaper feeling and the fit on the bottom of the camera isn't super tight. I don't mind either of those problems. It works for what I need it for.
