I bought this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XQP7MHQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
$15.49, which is fine by me. There was some information online about having a pad helping the drone mark it's home point (not sure on that), but honestly the main reason was doing beach locations and areas with loose dry dirt.
This was not an initial purchase, but something I added later. Is it essential? No. Does it help prevent grit flying up in your motors? Yes. Basically, it is based on the design for photographers portable reflectors... so if you have never tried to fit one of those back into the case, you are in for a treat, lol. You essentially twist it into a 8 shape, and squash down. See here: https://www.picturecorrect.com/tips/how-to-fold-a-photography-reflector-in-4-easy-steps/
