Hey y’all, long time longboarder here (8-9 years) 220 lbs
I just got a new build with:
Loaded Dervish Sama Flex 1
Bear Gen 5 Trucks
Venom HPF 95a duro (double barrel bushing)
Bones Red Swiss bearings
Orangutan In Heat Purples
I’ve always used Bones Speed Cream for the entirety of my “career” of longboarding. But I’ve been wanting to shy away from it in favor for different “higher grade” oils. I’ve had a few in mind notes below:
Nano-Oil 85 weight - NanoLube Anti Friction Concentrate NLNA85w8cc https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00N0KP4VM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_6dNFEbQCBZTNJ
Pro Shot 1-Ounce Zero Friction Needle Oiler https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005KW7NA8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_wgNFEbNW1MN20
Super Lube 51010 Oil Super Lube,Translucent white https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000BXOGHY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_zjNFEb0W0DFFF
What are y’all thoughts? Recommendations and opinions are welcomed!
If you're in the US, they're readily available online. Here's a link to the same pen that Yomega used to rebrand as Brain lube.
If you're not in the US or just want to find a more common substitute, mineral oil and baby oil work well too. If you want your bearings extra responsive, then you can apply a tiny amount (about the size of a pin head) of silicone grease or petroleum jelly to the bearing.
