Okay, OP. I have a couple of suggestions. I would do them in rotation, give each a week or so to see if they actually help. You may need to go to MDI to get to the real culprit. I did. I am allergic to a preservative in Humalog, Novolog, and Levemir. It's fun.....

[Opsite Flexifix Tape](https://www.amazon.com/Smith-Nephew-Flexifix-Transparent-Adhesive/dp/B0015TI2ZA/ref=sr_1_3?crid=21X9VX5G7778K&keywords=opsite+flexifix&qid=1553690799&s=gateway&sprefix=opsite%2Caps%2C154&sr=8-3). Super thin, but an easy thing to punch through with both CGM and Sites.

A spray of a steroid inhaler (allowed to dry) before you stick it on. I know, it sounds crazy, but it's one of those things that can help with an allergy.

Tough Pad Bandaids Same as the Opsite, putting the sensor through the bandage.

The IV tape things are fine to try, too!

Okay, so process. Source: [SixUntilMe Blog](https://sixuntilme.com/wp/2014/06/25/dexcom-rash/)

Shower and be 150% dry (I have used a blow dryer!). Steroid inhaler spray and again, I blew dry with a hair dryer. Adhesive option (listed above) placed in spot destined for CGM or pump Site. Apply CGM or pump site through the bandage, ensuring all pump or CGM adhesive is on the the option, not your skin. Start up site or CGM as normal.

Now, I did all of this, multiple times. Then I went on vacation and took a pump and CGM break for a week. I did MDI that week. I came home with huge, super itchy, red welts all over my body. Surprise - they were at each and EVERY injection site. Ta-Da! Insulin preservative allergy!
