It would work, but clips tend to be less than secure.

I'd guess the rev 2 has balanced outs (even 2 outs, for Left and Right?), so you may want to take the output signal from a mixer, or use a Y cable (so you can still hear the synth!), and then you won't compromise the balanced signal.
