And the clip ones are nothin' special, I just get those at Walmart or wherever, thin ones with smallish clips. With those, I feel like the idea is that the pants are fitted enough that not much relies on those. I wear Lee Extreme Motion denim/chinos (sizes go way up!) from Amazon and they usually stay up pretty well on their own, even when going from sitting to standing and vice version. The suspenders are just my insurance policy. ;)

Edit: oh and the button ones I have, I've thrifted all of those, they're vintage and use real leather which is important since the bonded, glued leather can rub, fray, and just generally don't perform well.
