26" may be a problem, as it has been considered old for a few minutes. I'm assuming 1 1/8 straight steerer tube. Two suggestions:
QR hub means that it takes a skinny bit of metal with "Quick Release" clamps. (The metal goes through a hole in the axle, and squeezes the sides of the fork/frame to the wheel to hold the wheel in. Also known as 9mm.) I expect that is what you have now & are not planning to replace the wheel. Most through axles are thicker.
Looking at this one. Definitely goes against what some of you are saying. But it’s also more than half the value of the bike.
