Hey OP! u/MisChef
I'm thinking about creating a sleeping pad using three 6" thick crib mattresses in a toyota tacoma camper build. Why you ask? Cuz I'm weary of fiberglass, I don't have much money, and rich people buy expensive fiberglass-free crib mattresses for their kids and sell em for cheap 2 years later.
Most likely I'll combine 3 of these used crib mattresses: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001W2YCH2/ref=cm\_sw\_r\_apan\_i\_0E8EMAR8X9TXX8YDYYAS
Anyway, like you mentioned, 3 crib mattresses (2 side by side and one perpendicular below them) equal roughly the size of a queen adult mattress. But how comfortable are crib mattresses for an adult? Lol. I assume those springs aren't meant for a 160 pound person like me.
Also, any tips on cutting them apart and sewing them together? Thanks!
