Simplisafe is good but...its one of the most vulnerable systems on the market to jamming, if I were you I'd would use Simplisafe but not display their signage and stickers for a potential intruder to be able to google it and potentially disable your system

(Purchase ADT or any other alarm company sign)

(How likely is this gonna happen probably really low chances but extra precaution is always best)

And get their Video Verified Alarm with the Simplicam, The police responds faster to an active break-in because the monitoring center sees the burglar therefore giving you priority dispatch

Reinforcement - Install Door Hardening kits, Change your door frame screws to longer ones, Install motion light around the property, and Add some Eufy Cam's Outside the property

Eufy Cam 2 is Wireless and its battery last for 365 days, but I would expect maybe 11 months if you have more motion triggers and it records locally this would be a great deterrent and backup in case you ever need to submit footage to the police

Eufy Cam 2 - 2 Cam Kit

Door Reinforcement Plate

Defender Door reinforcement lock

A motion sensor alone isn't gonna cut it, you need the Door/Window Sensor, Keypad, Base

I’m so sorry that you are going through this! I would definitely suggest getting a camera for the front door and maybe even one for inside also just in case. I installed an indoor security lock to my front door a couple of years ago because a creepy weirdo neighbor would break into my apartment when I wasn’t there and a couple of times in the middle of the night when I was sleeping. It’s a great lock and perfect for when you’re home since you can only unlock it from the inside. I’ve also installed a camera since then just for safety. You can also place dowels in all your windows as well for added security. Here’s the link to the indoor lock: Defender Security Satin Nickel U 10827 Door Reinforcement Lock – Add Extra, High Security to your Home and Prevent Unauthorized Entry – 3” Stop, Aluminum Construction Finish https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00D2K367Y/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_navT_a_9ERQNRVJ2MVM6A53MY21

I prefer "Door Defender" style locks like https://www.amazon.com/Defender-Security-10827-Door-Reinforcement/dp/B00D2K367Y

  • Only one part to install (easy to remove and patch the holes if you live in a rental)
  • You can use 4" or longer screws to attach the lock through to the studs, providing high kick resistance
  • You can unlock it using gross motor skills in the case of an emergency (like a fire). I think door chains/barrel bolts, etc. are tough to open in a hurry

We use this on exterior doors. Child proof and extra security.
