New noob here, I bought 2 tripod telescopes for night sky and both were useless, which I have confirmed based on this Reddit.

No, those won't work for rings. You'll get Jupiter though and a few of it's moons but they'll look like bright objects. Nothing like the red spot. These should work on a clear night but they're big, bulky and meant to be on a tripod. Plus I still don't know what you mean by rings. One solid ring? Individuals? It'll still look like a star but obviously a different shape
